Amy Wilson

Deputy Director for Justice Analytical Services, Scottish Government

Amy Wilson is currently Deputy Director for Justice Analytical Services in the Scottish Government, a role which she took up in October 2019. She heads up a team of around 40 analysts supporting the research and analytical needs of the Safer Communities and Justice Directorates within Scottish Government. The team covers policing and fire service, violence reduction, cyber and defence issues, as well as all aspects of the criminal and civil justice system in Scotland.  

Prior to this, Amy spent seven years at the National Records of Scotland as Director of Statistics and Head of the Census in Scotland. She has worked in a variety of statistical roles within Scotland and UK Government Departments, and has also worked for three years as part of the development data team at the World Bank in Washington D.C.
