Jamie is a Professor of Psychology at Ulster University and Deputy Director of the Administrative Data Research Centre in Northern Ireland. Funded by the Economic and Social Research Council, the ESRC Secondary Data Analysis Initiative, Horizon 2020 and the Health and Social Care Board, Jamie has secured over £13m in research funding to date. His research focuses on a broad array of mental health phenomena and entails (i) secondary analysis of administrative and household population data, (ii) mental health researcher training and (iii) population survey research. To date, Jamie has published over 150 peer reviewed research papers and was recognised as a Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher in 2023.
