Looked After Children Longitudinal Dataset - Scotland

This dataset brings together administrative data on episodes of care, placements and the legal reasons for children being looked after by local authorities across Scotland. By linking annual returns across multiple years, the dataset enables detailed analysis of care journeys over time, including placement stability, transitions and variation across local authorities and demographic groups.

Ministry of Justice & Department for Education linked dataset - England

The MoJ-DfE linked dataset allows analysis to understand links between childhood characteristics, educational outcomes and (re)offending. The dataset includes data from Prison, Courts, Police National Computer, National Pupil Database, Looked-After-Children and Children in Need and covers variables such as demographics, offending data, school exclusions, and all episodes of children in care.

RAPID: Population interactions with employment, benefits and pensions - UK

RAPID: Population interactions with employment, benefits and pensions – UK is a population-based dataset created from administrative records held by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC). The dataset includes de-identified records for all people with a National Insurance number, including children, who were alive on or after 6 April 2010. The data covers the United Kingdom and is based on 100% extracts from DWP and HMRC administrative systems.

Scottish Longitudinal Education Outcomes (LEO) – University extract

The Scottish Longitudinal Education Outcomes (LEO) – University extract is a linked administrative dataset created through collaboration between the Scottish Government, the Department for Education (DfE), the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC). It brings together de-identified information on students who have attended Scottish Higher Education Institutions by linking their education records to data on employment, earnings and benefit receipt.
