ADR UK Data Roadshow
09/11/2023 - 31/01/2024
Categories: Events, Datasets, ADR UK Partnership
The ADR UK Data Roadshow offers the opportunity for you to host a webinar or workshop for your colleagues and students on social science data. You can also browse the upcoming events below.
About the roadshow
ADR UK is keen to share information and inspire researchers to make more use of the rich administrative and other datasets available for their research. During 2023 we facilitated several webinars and workshops in universities across the country attracting hundreds of students. In 2024, we are expanding the roadshow menu to include more types of data.
These free events will showcase opportunities for cross-cutting research using linked administrative datasets and other ESRC data resources such as smart data (data generated through engagement with digital systems, devices and sensors) and survey data. The events are suitable for any researcher interested in secondary data analysis, particularly but not limited to early career researchers.
Roadshow events are made bespoke to your needs and interests. They can be held online or in person. Typically, they might last 90 minutes and cover:
-
an overview of administrative and other data available
-
information about data access including the legal gateways
-
a presentation from a researcher currently using this data.
We encourage questions and discussion to support learning by the participants.
