A report from researchers at the Scottish Centre for Administrative Data Research (SCADR) and the Centre for Excellence for Children’s Care and Protection (CELCIS) has provided new insights into the experiences of children growing up in kinship care in Scotland. The study, the first of its kind, linked multiple data sources – including the Looked After Children Longitudinal dataset, health visit data, and child protection records – to explore the lives of more than 19,000 children in kinship care from 2008 to 2019. SCADR is part of ADR Scotland.
ADR Wales has published a report examining how to estimate the number of children not enrolled in state schools across Wales. Using linked data from the Secure Anonymised Information Linkage (SAIL) Databank, the study supports potential regulations to create a database for tracking children missing from state education.
We are delighted to share the ADR UK Annual Report 2023 – 2024. ADR Wales analysts within Welsh Government have published a new Government Social Research report showing the findings from data analysed from the legacy Supporting People Programme. This programme has now been replaced by the Welsh Government Housing Support Grant.
