Today, Cancer Research UK, the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) are announcing £10 million to create the Cancer Data-Driven Detection programme. The ADR Wales Skills and Employability research team has presented key findings on equality within tertiary education in Wales, at an event hosted by the Wales Centre for Public Policy at Cardiff University. This research, led by ADR Wales researchers Dr Katy Huxley and Rhys Davies, is part of a project commissioned by the Welsh Government to inform the Commission for Tertiary Education and Research (Medr).

ADR Wales has published a report examining how to estimate the number of children not enrolled in state schools across Wales. Using linked data from the Secure Anonymised Information Linkage (SAIL) Databank, the study supports potential regulations to create a database for tracking children missing from state education.

As part of leading the ADR Wales Social Care programme, Social Care Wales is now offering a PhD placement opportunity. This is open to PhD students studying social care at a Welsh higher education institution, providing practical experience in real-world social care research. Social Care Wales is a Welsh Government-sponsored body which registers and sets standards for social workers and social care workers in Wales.
