The Nursing and Midwifery Council Register linked to Census 2021 – England and Wales dataset is now available for accredited researchers to apply to access via the Integrated Data Service. This ADR UK flagship dataset enables analysis of the wider dynamics of the nursing and midwifery professions – and what these might mean for entry and retention in the workforce.

In collaboration with the Public Health Scotland electronic Data Research and Innovation Service (eDRIS), Research Data Scotland has launched the Researcher Access Service. This is a digital service that will support accredited researchers in academia and government to securely access administrative data for research. Research Data Scotland was created and is funded by the Scottish Government, part of ADR Scotland.
Two new projects will collect insights on the perspectives of data owners and providers, and the public, about synthetic data. The projects will focus on low-fidelity synthetic data to explore its potential benefits, costs and utility to administrative data research.

ADR UK is providing HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) with a £100,000 grant to explore how to improve research through HMRC’s administrative data. This HMRC project will build the evidence available to decision makers for tax policy and operations. It will also benefit other government departments, researchers, and independent research bodies who engage with HMRC’s tax and financial data.
