John Hughes, an ADR NI researcher working for the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA), describes the findings of recently published research on knowledge of the Irish and Ulster Scots languages in Northern Ireland. This work was carried out by Queen’s University Belfast in collaboration with NISRA researchers.

ADR UK will soon announce new funding for ESRC Doctoral Training Partnerships to host PhD studentships focused on quantitative research using linked administrative data. Funding will be available for up to 20 PhD studentships located anywhere in the UK which will start in Autumn 2023.
