ADR UK 2023 PhD studentships cohort begin their projects

22 PhD studentships supported by ADR UK have now commenced. Hosted by supervisors across 13 of the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Doctoral Training Partnerships (DTPs),these students will access the full breadth of ADR UK flagship datasets to conduct quantitative research and answer policy-relevant research questions.

An ADR Wales research team has published a Data Insight that covers the differences in educational attainment and attendance between Welsh- and European Union (EU)-born pupils. This is part of the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS) Data Linkage Project, an ADR Wales initiative.
New research investigates young people's transitions to post-compulsory education in Wales

Using de-identified Welsh education data sources, ADR Wales researchers investigated transitions from compulsory education at around the age of 16 to post-compulsory education in Wales.
New funding for the Department for Education will drive up use of linked education data for policy-relevant research

ADR UK will provide over £1 million funding to the Department for Education (DfE) to support streamlining access for accredited researchers to the department’s administrative data. This will realise greater value for analysis and research.
