Keynote speakers announced for ADR UK Conference 2023

Each speaker will be presenting on one of our conference sub-themes, discussing the leading developments and emerging issues in their areas of expertise:

  • Professor Rohini Mathur – ‘Research to support renewal, recovery and resilience’. Rohini is a Professor and Chair of Health Data Science at Queen Mary University of London, specialising in the application of precision medicine approaches in globally diverse datasets to address health inequalities, particularly around cardiometabolic disease. 
  • Ed Humpherson – ‘Public engagement and involvement in population data research’. Ed is head of the Office for Statistics Regulation which provides independent regulation of all official statistics in the UK. 
  • Dr Marion Oswald – ‘Ethics, law and social implications’. Marion is an Associate Professor of law at Northumbria University and a part-time Senior Research Associate at the Alan Turing Institute, where she researches technology law and policy, information rights and data ethics.
  • Professor Peter Mackie – ‘Data linkage, methods, systems and technology: methodological developments’. Peter is a Professor in the School of Geography and Planning at Cardiff University, where the primary focus of his research and advisory work is homelessness prevention.
