Peter is a Professor in the School of Geography and Planning at Cardiff University, where the primary focus of his research and advisory work is homelessness prevention. His work has had considerable impact, including the development of new legislation and practice in multiple countries. As the ADR Wales housing and homelessness theme co-lead, Peter has worked with linked administrative data for more than a decade, including the linkage of homelessness, education, health, and criminal justice data. In all his linked administrative data research Peter has worked closely with Dr Ian Thomas, without whom the programme of work on homelessness would not have been possible. Peter is currently an editor for the International Journal on Homelessness.
