Join the CHILI Hub team for the launch of the CHILI Seminar Series, bringing together experts exploring children’s learning environments and their health! CHILI stands for Child and Adolescent Health Impacts of Learning Indoor Environments Under Net Zero.

Professors Pia Hardelid and Dejan Mumovic will begin with an overview of the CHILI project vision. Pia leads the ADR England-funded Kids' Environment and Health Cohort project. After this:
- Professor Russell Viner - outgoing Chief Scientific Advisor for the Department for Education - will present on the importance of supporting healthy learning environments for children and young people (recorded).
- Dr Alice Handy will present findings comparing PM2.5 concentrations collected from school air quality data, to outdoor PM2.5 concentrations
- Dr Michaela James (University of Swansea) will present on how HAPPEN data can deepen our understanding of wellbeing in schools and how these insights can guide more supportive, equitable learning environments.
- Matthew Clark from Hertfordshire County Council will present information on the Hertfordshire experience of installing HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filters in primary schools, how partnering up with research colleagues helped make the case for investment and enable wider rollout and the challenges along the way.
This event is an opportunity to learn, network, and engage with leading researchers shaping the future of child health and education.
