This event launches the Crime and Justice Administrative Data Network (CJADN). The CJADN is a cross-institutional, cross-regional network open to anyone who uses, wants to use, or wants to learn from crime-related administrative data. The event aims to bring together academics, third-sector organisations, practitioners, and data owners to share knowledge and research using crime-related administrative data.
The launch event will showcase research using administrative data, alongside practical workshops focused on public engagement and identifying research priorities.
Agenda
- Welcome – Dr Emma Gordon, Director, ADR UK
- Research presentations – Professor Iain Brennan; ADR UK Research Fellows Dr Hannah Dickson, Professor Tim McSweeney, and Dr Paul Garcia, showcasing how crime-related administrative data has been used to understand offending
- ADR UK perspectives – Presentations on communities and engagement
- Ministry of Justice session – Overview of findings from MoJ analysis, future directions, and Q&A
- Public engagement and impact – Presentations and panel discussion including input from the Office for National Statistics (ONS)
- Breakout groups – Collaborative discussions on opportunities and challenges in using administrative data to address societal issues
- Network launch – Formal launch of the Crime and Justice Administrative Data Network
