Join researchers from Cardiff University for an insightful discussion on the intersection of immigration, integration, and labour market outcomes. They will present findings from a pioneering study, part of a research fellowship funded by ADR UK, which uses linked administrative data for England and Wales to provide a detailed picture of how immigrants fare in the labour market compared to UK-born workers.
With the immigrant population in England and Wales rising significantly over the past decade, issues of labour market integration and economic contribution are increasingly relevant to public policy. This project uniquely examines the role of employee characteristics, like education and language skills, as well as individual employers, in shaping immigrant labour market outcomes.
