Funding opportunity from Youth Endowment Fund: Secondary data analysis

The Youth Endowment Fund Commissions high-quality research into what works to prevent to children and young people becoming involved in violence. For this opportunity, they are seeking to fund projects that address priority research questions on the impacts of policies, practices and interventions, as well as the drivers of children and young people’s involvement in violent crime.

This is an exciting opportunity for researchers interested in using linked administrative data, particularly ADR England flagship datasets. The most notable dataset for this funding opportunity is the Ministry of Justice & Department for Education linked dataset - England which links data from the National Pupil Database and Police National Computer, allowing us to understand links between childhood characteristics, educational outcomes, and (re)offending.

The ADR England Research Community Catalysts for Youth Transitions and Children at Risk of Poor Outcomes have also recently co-created research agendas with research priorities relevant to this funding opportunity.  Any potential applicant may be interested in the stakeholders and priorities identified through this work, as well as ongoing opportunities for engaging with these communities.

Applications for this opportunity will close on 21 February 2025 at 17:00.
