It’s back: The ADR UK data roadshow

Categories: Events, ADR UK Partnership

29 November 2023

These events showcase opportunities for cross-cutting research using linked administrative data and other Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) data resources, such as smart data. They are suitable for any researcher interested in secondary data analysis, particularly early career researchers.

Why are we running the roadshow?

By sharing information about the wide range of data available for public good research through these accessible sessions, we hope to open the door to researchers across disciplines who are new to these data sources and inspire them to make use of it.

What’s new?

This time, we are also offering you the opportunity to request your own bespoke workshop. It can be for a group of researchers or analysts based at your home institution, or within your wider network. This will support people who are interested in the potential of administrative and other data for public good research.

The workshops will:

  • introduce researchers to the wealth of administrative and other data available
  • explain how to access these datasets
  • showcase the resources available to support their use
  • provide an overview of the types of research questions you can answer using this data, including a case study.

Typically, roadshow workshops last 1.5 hours and are run online using Microsoft Teams, but we are also happy to explore in-person options.

How can I request a workshop?

Next year’s roadshow was first announced at the ADR UK Conference 2023 this month, and is now open for bookings. Navigate to the page below, which shows a menu of items available to be included in the event. Make sure to fill in the form at the bottom to make a request before slots fill up!
