This report from Scottish Centre for Administrative Data Research (SCADR, part of ADR Scotland) and the Centre for Excellence for Children’s Care and Protection (CELCIS) explores the characteristics, experiences, and outcomes of ‘looked after’ children living in kinship care in Scotland. It provides insight into the requirements that welfare, universal, and targeted services should meet to ensure the safety, health, education and wellbeing of all children.
It also assesses the usefulness of the administrative data that is currently available about ‘looked after’ children and young people in Scotland, and provides an overview of the opportunities and challenges of data linkage as an approach to better understanding their lives and improving the care and support available to them.
Read the research as an info-comic
ADR Scotland also published an info-comic as part of its work to make research findings more accessible for children and young people. Read it below.
