In November, the ADR UK Conference 2023 brought 400 delegates to Birmingham to exchange knowledge and ideas. The conference focused on the theme of Public data for resilience and inclusion: Using administrative data to inform policy and practice in challenging times.
ADR UK Research Fellow Damian Whittard uses this blog to set out how he intends to use administrative data to progress our understanding of green jobs in England and Wales. Damian will be using the Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings linked to 2011 Census, a dataset he was integral to developing as part of the Wage and Employment Dynamics project.
In 2023 ADR UK piloted its data roadshow, aiming to raise awareness of the wealth of administrative data already available for research. These were a huge success: our webinars and workshops were attended by more than three hundred students across several universities. We are pleased to announce that ADR UK is hitting the virtual road again in 2024 – with an expanded menu to include more types of data.
